Part 5: Future Blueprints
Got few opinions when my last series was shown to couple of my friends. Some would said that my work looked spiritual and some said there was a sense of peace if longer observation, a mysterious world sort of like fantasy. Or even LSD felt at it. Please to know how they felt or responded to my work. Thank You. As my work, I would like to put it as icons or visual symbols that had not seen anywhere. (Sometimes a few of my icon do represent some animal or plants) It was entirely just doodling, with no planning at all or visualize in the head, spontaneously or sub-consciously just doodle. Then look at it on the next day which surprises me, how each icon was wonderful and mysterious in its own way.

Below will be some of my new works that I had experimented. It was drawn on a art pad then shot it digitally. Transfered to my computer and tested them in photoshop. I was surprise how it was looked. Wanted it to just create simple outlines on a flat one colour background as pattern wallpaper like. Instead... I called it 'mysterious blueprints for the future'. Sort of like archaeology for the past and this series will be Blueprints for the future. Enjoy.

Given title Civilization

This one looked like a bonzai plant

As for this one, titled Royalty
The gold outline give a Eastern royal symbol look to it

Did two pieces of artwork for the online calendar competition in Japan. One of the art gallery, open submission to everyone who're interested in participate for their annual 2007 calendar. Do check their site http://www.shift.jp.org/2007/en.shtml
And here is mine, Underneath and Resurrection
Underneath basically is about what is within, inside self. As you can see there're different possibility of individual spirituality. As for the black symbols represent activities, material as distraction in any form possible for reaching the inner self.

Resurrection as the title meant. And the visual shows a queen like face floating in mid air guiding her reproduction body of life where her two guards watching.

These series below was an experiment. Came across this haunting and sad song called 'Salt' by Mugison, an Icelandic singer and song-writer along side Bjork and Sigur Ros. Is about a child being drowned by her mother in the sea. The child had no clue why her mother did that. The lyrics was brilliantly written in poetic way such as "My name is salt. I'm the reason there's salt in the sea and I'm the reason there's salt in your tears. That's how I come back. Like boiling water everything will evaporate, dissolve and disappear. I'll be there as a taste on your cheek - so you can remember those that are gone."
Brilliant and the way this song was produce or executed is phenomenon. Using his sister voice to recite the words and in the middle, violins broke out as the mother sings. Inspired to do a dark piece on this song.
Came out this experiment using black paper and collection pen (Liquid paper) to draw.

Then continued this method for my work and here was the result.

I'll be going to Sydney to visit a friend and a holiday as well. Hopefully I can produce somemore work. Complete new environment for inspiration. For those who want to commission my work for anything, do send me an email. I'll be checking my email on day to day basis as usual.

Part 3: The beginning of everything and the end of nothing.
Works of 2006 was a surprising to me how it was turn out
to be. Guess quiting my daily job do help in a way. I'm beginning
to do my work continuously and ideas on other project just pop in
my brain. Here is a little greeting introduction from my latest work
Enjoy...

I did this piece during a big meeting. With everyone accusing and blaming each other for some silly problem. Ahem! excuse me don't you guys look at the problem for solution. I'm pretty sad how human being can be so infantile. I'm talking real grown up around 40 above. Anyway, I just doodle some stuff on the paper and ignoring the plastic being around. I even got interrogate for not paying attention. Sounds like in school classes back in those days. Yeah it does happen in corporate world. This is what I did below and it was called Fanciful Meeting. I used a LV (Louis Vuitton) design like, as background showing a repetition positive icon. Alot of tiny devilish icon around depicting each other faces.

Found this great photo shot at the same time and I was thinking why not I add in some of the Fanciful Meeting icon in. And this is how it looks like. Called Tree hut.

The following works was experimented with various possible tool, layering and colours to give certain mood.

This one is called Baby

This one, New Horizon

Wheel moon

Gathering

Frames

and this one called Midnight Howls

These two below was done in using this fantastic filter plugging called Wreakage. And the result give an effect of brush strokes painting. Well, might be possible for Art Galleries. No titles, so I just go for the untitled.

Part 2: This random works was done between the year 2000 to 2003.
The work was done in my mac, just spontaneously putting stuff in and experiment till it looks alright. Hey, even songs that created in shortest time turn up a hit rather than the one that slowly crafted over and over for perfection.
Guess spontaneous creation, works better.
Okie will put titles in, on each work over here.

Aura

Ghostly Fossil

Crustacean Evolve

Reflection Balance

Burn-out

Ritual dance around fire

Moses

Progresses year 2003 till 2005
Some of my work below had been evolve of style
The first two, shows few strokes of line to form shape.
Turns out towards the used of lesser patterns, sort of like
minimalism approached which create a fine object.

Below these was another series of style evolved.
Forms had been more round and oval which created new look to it.
Probably was the years of the Trilogy movies like The Matrix which might be the fact of the influences. I'm not sure myself.
It looks like a whole mechanical pop crafts to me.
Completely fun

Part 1: Here is some of my early sketches starting the year of 1997.
Basically, just doodle and playing around with multiple shapes
combination into an icon.

Each of the doodle will be pain-stakingly vectorize in Illustrator.
I know, I know, you guys probably thinking of the section filter where
it will auto-trace your images. I did tried and it turns out horrifying ugly
and messy. So is better this way, I had more control over it.
Will get use to it anyway, almost hundred of them had been vectorizes.
From each vectorize icon, I can use and re-used into b/w, single colour,
gradient fill or just outline.

Some of my early experiment with my little icon

Blue wonder

Modern Chaos

Spirituality

Below will be my 1997 series

In 1998, I decided to try my hand on colouring
So I tried using acrylic paint on art paper
And created a range of colour series

Around year 2000, after completion on my first sketch book, I had decided to put them into digital/Computer. Below will be them in pretty alive and vibrant

Next blog for more work
